The Fear Party

All my right wing friends seem to start out their conversations by saying, “I‘m afraid that…………….”. The idea of being afraid of what might happen if you do not follow their (right wing-nuts) religion, and their ideas of what makes an American patriotic is disgusting. The leaders of the religious right and the self appointed leaders of the conservative right want you all to believe that if you are not Christian you are the enemy, if you are not republican you are the enemy. Then one of these guys has a rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and gives one of the most liberal, Democratic leaning speeches we have ever heard. He talked of tolerance and love and getting along with each other and on and on and on. He never mentioned his political positions or any of the many, many, many hours of intolerant rants, racist comments and negative drivel from his show. And you people fell for it; I can’t believe there are so many people blinded by the fear of nothing but their own intolerance and weaknesses. I dare you all to take that speech (which I believe is a bald faced pile of lies) and live it. They don’t want you to because if you do you will lose the fear that they have worked so hard to instill in you with their negative rhetoric all these years.
My fear is that Intolerance by these few will become a disease and ruin what America is and always has been. A place for all, not just you.

The circle of American Politics

A few years ago a huge majority of Americans voted out the current idiots and replaced them with our current Administration, Senate and House of Representitives. Now it took Bush and his band of Morons eight years to make us the most hated and most hypocritical Nation on this planet. The people are already impatient, they expect miracles and are listening to the same idiots they just voted out chanting that they are the change? WTF!! I know that Pelosi and the Dems have failed miserably in that they did not take advantage of their majority and chose instead to fight with each other. But HELLO people, Boehner will be the next speaker of the house and he knows less about American issues than Palin or Bush if that is at all possible. The Dems still have time to regroup and reverse this but are to busy fighting with each other to get anything done together. IDIOTS

These two idiots make me so mad, I cannot speak logically about them. Liars, hypocrites, traitors, self serving assholes are the only terms I can think of when I hear their names. They would not be missed by me should something tragic happen to them.

Family Campout

Well, another yearly family campout has come and gone and three days later I am still feeling it. A great trip this year and a fantastic spot (thanks to Gayle for that) where we were able to do as we pleased and not annoy anyone. At the peak which was of course "Tequial Noche" we had 29 people and 10 dogs. With the exception of setting up and tearing down there was almost no friction and lots of laughter and fun. The Great Water Balloon War of 2010 will go down in history and the pomp of the flag ceremonies was hilarious. Did I mention that we now have a Ridderbusch Flag that we fly at camp? We played horseshoes for hours and smoked two fresh tuna's and a salmon in this huge freakin smoker/cooker that was there. We ate very well as always and having an actual kitchen was awesome. Oh and we drank liquor all day, and on Tequila night we killed four bottles of good tequila in about 45 minutes. Crazy night but fun stuff for sure.

Rust

My favorite on line place for many years has been The Rust List and am sure it will be again for years to come but right now it is not the place I came to love and cherish for it's daily escape from the crap of life into all things Neil. I am not guiltless and have probably contributed to this cesspool of personal political opinions more than once but for my part, I am done and will refrain from any nnc related chatter. Or at least I will try, for after all I am and will always be Richard Fucking Ridderbusch no matter what pity party I am currently engaging in. The best people I know outside my wife and brothers are the People I have met through the List, and know they will still be there after the current rabble have moved on to annoy someone else. Peace

Palin

I think she finally did it, defending a radio shock jock gone mad "dr laura" using the word nigger 11 times on radio. Thank you Palin, you just finished yourself off with that one you stupid freakin moron. Even the racists can't stand by you in public anymore because you are not only a racist pig like them you are a self destructive imbecile. I can only hope that the republicans will continue to pick geniuses like Sarah Palin to off set the Democratic side of the idiot contest like oh let's say the empty headed Pelosi. Alfred E. Newman might be our only viable choice by next election.

Illusion

Today was areally smooth peaceful day at work. In a place that is usually chaotic, noisey and trying, these kind of days stand out in an erie kind of way. You know down deep that this is just an illusion and the same things are still going on, yet you can't help but let your gaurd down a little and relax in spite of where you are. There will be more fights, blackmail, sexual assaults, stealing and the rest tomorrow, but today was nice, we take what we can get.

Ben

Ben Keith died a few days ago, his contribution to music is immeasurable and he was still playing shows just a week ago. From Patsy Cline's "I Fall to Pieces" to being Neil Young's right hand man for over 40 years this man was an amazing musician. Sitting in a folding chair with a guitar across his lap making magic, I was privileged to see him play many times and thank him for every note. Can't imagine the loss to Neil as a musician and as his friend.

Mexicans

OK I want to know why Mexicans refuse to use their backyards? WTF!!! Beer drinking, birthday parties etc. Are they trying to get rid of their kids by getting them run over in the street, that's right I said a STREET not an open field in a park you dipshits. Stopping in the middle of the road, wait you're PARKING there!!!, you fuck, have you ever even seen pavement before, that can be the only friggen answer because nothing else even makes sense. And one of my favorite topics, control your fucking kids you lame ass parents. Wal Mart is not a playground and the rest of us would appreciate it if you just learned to keep them near you and probably on a leash as you seem to have the attention span of a gnat and would not be able to actually watch your own kids. I know this all sounds racist but these are legitimate requests of any human being in this country, so if it is to much for you to act like you are happy to be here, don't let the door hit you in the ass................ Hard to believe the things people will write and put their name on. Take this moron in todays paper who tried to say that we should not have a Supreme Court Judge who would change the Constitution, like it has never been changed and we are still living 1n 1776 and the rules and society have not changed either. What do they think the amendments to the Constitution are? This gun toting asshole is just afraid someone will take away his assault rifle. And they should as he is obviously not capable of rational thought. How can some people still be so unaware of the rest of the world and how we are all dependent on each other to turn around the destruction of the planet and it's people.

In a Pickle over my Pickles

Yes it is that time of the year again. Going to make a lot more this year after pressure from family. Hope it does not stop being fun for me because I will just stop making pickles and then I will be treated like I did something wrong and hear shit about it forever. Why can't people appreciate what is given and not guilt you into doing more. I did manage to explain to Randy that this was my Christmas present to everybody and he can't give them out to anybody, including his kids. Hope that works because I would be pissed for sure. Need to get People to return jars somehow, I do get a lot back but had to buy 6 dozen this time, with lids and rings and cukes, peppers, garlic, dill, and stuff it is going to be an investmant this year. Really should have two canners to get it done quicker, cha ching, that's thirty more dollars

ELKS

Looks like I will be Pool King at the Elks Lodge, not too much competition at least not that I have seen. I am sure some some old fart will hobble up to the table and kick my ass to humble my upity self but thats the chance you take being me. Still pissed at the secratary for jokingly suggesting I may have come accross the can opener (from The Birdhouse) I donated to the Lodge at my State Food managers job. Fuckin Bitch better be careful, I somehow did not find any humor in that comment. Fun place though and nice people for the most part. Teresa is getting interested in going now. She is afraid of the heads, and there are only two. One small one that she never has to get near, and one humongous mother over the inside entrance. I promised to sneak her in the back door if she wants to come.

Idiots #1

What the hell is wrong with people? This woman at one of the prisons I work at is responsible for filling the inmate jobs from the assignments we turn in to her. There are a few jobs that only I fill and only I pick who goes in those jobs. Well she had been told very nicely in writing two months ago about this and when she did it again this week I re-sent the previous e-mail and took care of the changes myself. Did I mention that even though she does not directly work for me I outrank her by several layers. I received a very disrespectful (terrible spelling and grammer) letter making some very incorrect assumptions and accusations on her part. I stopped myself and took the letter to her direct supervisor (who I also outrank) and had her deal with it. And people wonder why they get fired. I should have climbed up her ass and made her cry but hey, I am weakening in my old age. But the dumbass put it all in writing so I can take it to her Union as evidence against her, hmmm maybe I still will.

Anybody who knows me knows why this blogged is so named. I will attempt to make sense here but no guarantees. As this is my Blog, there will be no equal time for anybody here, I will be slamming the self righteous, blaming Bush for being the worst president in history and pretty much trashing the right wing nuts of this country. On a lighter note, there will be lots of Neil Young related stuff here as well as pictures my son takes around Oregon.
